SciFi and Fantasy Art: Drow Steed

Vicious, elegant, and a bit crazed, this creature is a fine match for its riders, right down to the classy color scheme. A sorcery-bred mix of serpent, insect and big cat, these is my interpretation of the favored steeds of the drow in urban fantasy stories by a couple of fellow Elfwood artists, Donna Maria Waltz and Grace Catherine Spengler. A long overdue phone conversation with Donna gave me the name of the critter -- a CobraCat.

A quickie (for me) ink drawing, colorized in Photoshop using the Hue and Saturation adjustment function, and tweaked a bit further. Only took a couple of weeks instead of months...:-P Just having a bit o' fun.
