A sorceress-shaman of the world of Tekumel holds a male Renyu ensorcelled while her alarmed Pygmy Folk companion prepares to collar him. The Renyu's mate has objections...

An older ink piece, for the Tekumel fans out there. Some real anatomy problems with the woman, I know, I know, trust me, I know. The original is 17x19.5', so some fine detail has been lost. *sigh*

I honestly was so entertained by what is in the picture that I couldnt find flaws with what you have done here. The compostion and subject matter are terrific 2 Well done and thanks for posting it here for us to see 2

:-) Katherine J. Grantham replies: "Thanks so much for the compliments! I'm very pleased with the composition, too. I just think the woman's legs look a bit short (although her outfit contributes to that) and her chin/jawline is a bit off. I'm glad you were entertained!"

One word: Ohlalala...

(details, expressions, poses, dear Lord, this is surely stunning)

:-) Katherine J. Grantham replies: "Thank you! Boy, that was a quick first comment. You must have been browsing the "new art" postings. *grin*"

That is the most original and best executed composition piece I have seen in...
*tries to count on fingers.
Runs out.
Toes.
Runs out.
Gives up.*
Long time.

:-) Katherine J. Grantham replies: "Why, thank you! Heh, your comment reminds me of a role-playing game where I came up with my only original joke, which was told to a dwarf, to put it in context. "Why do elves have pointed ears? So they can count to 12 without taking off their boots!" *insert laugh track* OK, sorry to have inflicted that on you..."

Interesting. i guess. the wolf is kind of strange faced though

:-) Katherine J. Grantham replies: "It's not a wolf. Or a werewolf. It's a renyu, a semi-humanoid dog like creature of generally low to middling intelligence. He looks goofy because the sorceress has cast a spell on him."

Nicely done. I especially like the first Renyu's expression - like a cocker spaniel that's been bonked in the head with a big rubber mallet...

Hope the priestess isn't Anka'a - you don't want to know what she'd do with that poor Renyu - or the Pigmy Folk, either

Korunme

:-) Katherine J. Grantham replies: "I don't think they'd allow that on Elfwood. I heard what she did with the dead Hlyss. Eeeuuw!"

Boo... Bad witch woman. Wolves are not slaves! I hope she gets torn to ribbons. *runs to free addle-brained wolfie*

*ahem* Did I mention I'm very pro-Wolf? Anyway, this looks very similar to the OLD comic book style. Nice detail, good picture... even if I don't like the subject.
